23 Things on a Stick: A Library Learning 2.0 Program
Get set for the launch of this exciting web-based program January 20, 2008, for all staff, trustees, and Friends in all types of libraries across the entire state of Minnesota!
This 12-week, self-paced, self-directed learning program (with help along the way) will allow you to discover, investigate, and use a variety of Web 2.0 tools such as blogs, Flickr, RSS, wikis, and other useful, interesting, and intriquing tools. All free. Prizes for those who complete all "23 Things" by April 13, 2008!
This program is brought to you by the 7 multicounty, multitype library systems in Minnesota (of which NLLN is one!). Watch for more information to be available in January on the NLLN website. |
NLLN Continuing Education Scholarships available
Scholarships up to $500 are available to any staff member in any type of NLLN library in the NLLN region. If you would like to attend the Public Library Association National Conference (this year in Minneapolis!) in March, the MEMO Midwinter Conference, Spotlight on Books, national professional conferences (ALA, SLA AASL, NECC), local workshops, or other continuining education events, consider applying for an NLLN Continuing Education Scholarship.
These scholarships are awarded directly to individuals to help make possible participation in continuing education events of your choice.
To date, NLLN has awarded over 140 Scholarships to recipients in all types of libraries. |
