Ben Mikaelsen's newest book, Ghost of Spirit Bear, continues the story begun in the powerful book, Touching Spirit Bear. What happened to our 2 main characters when they return from their remote island? Was healing and surviving in the wildnerness more difficult than returning to their former lives? Meet Ben and learn more about his books, his writing, his philosophy, and, of course, Buffy, his adopted bear. Ben Mikaelsen joins us from Bozeman, MT, where he enjoys life with his wife and, Buffy the Bear. |

Hang on to your hat for a fun time with popular illustrator and author, Henry Cole. His newest book, A Nest for Celeste, is fresh off the press (Feb 2010) and is a delight! Dara Dokas' newest book is Muriel's Red Sweater, published in 2009 and was a runner-up for a McKnight Award in Children's Literature. It is the cheerful story of a happy, but slightly daft, duck and her birthday celebration. Readers of all ages will enjoy "unraveling" the clues to the mystery provided by the clever illustrations of Bernadette Pons. Dara's other books include Saving Shadow, an easy reader, and Remembering Mama, a book for children ages 4-8. Dara Dokas joins us from St Paul, MN, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and various pets. |
